This is a no fluff template for brides that are planning their own wedding and want to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. It prioritizes tables and dates over unnecessary graphics, but it will also make sure you don’t miss a thing! If using Excel scares the crap out of you, this might not be for you, but if you’ve used excel or sheets before at a very basic level, this should be very intuitive!
There are four main databases in play for this template.
Projects - This is where we place the deliverables. These pages can be used to brainstorm, embed Pinterest boards, take notes, and show the vision of what we hope to accomplish
Tasks - This is where we plan out how to execute the deliverables, the steps and the deadlines. Each page in the task database can be assigned to as many projects as you would like. If you ever see a list called “To Do”, it refers to the task database.
Vendors - This can be used for a CRM for vendors as well as a page for your vendors to refer to later on if you book them. “Vendor Resources” is where the database lives, and you can add vendors by clicking the blue “new” in the corner and filling out the fields. The “Board” view serves as a CRM view, and the “Ceremony” and “Reception” are examples of ways to group different vendors in different groups.
Payments - This is a page where you can create a payment calendar to know when to expect payments and deposits to be due.
All of these databases have relations to one another. For example, when opening a vendor page, you will see tabs for all projects and upcoming tasks and payments. This allows you to add any additional columns in databases or get granular based on your needs without messing up any other kind of data you are using to plan!
Start with the fun stuff, the project gallery! Start thinking of those key elements you’re envisioning on your day. I’ve included some sample projects, feel free to start deleting or changing things! Save pictures that show your vision and add them to the “cover” field, and that project with the cover will populate in your home page gallery!
Tip: Describe the wedding you want to chat GPT and explain that you will have separate lists for projects and tasks, it will help you list things out as granular as you want! It can even time out the due dates for tasks based on the date chosen for your wedding.
Once your projects are filled out, you can start assigning to-do items and adding potential vendors to the database! The payment database will most likely be the last thing you touch, although you could temporarily fill it with budgeting numbers if that helps in the ideation stage.
You can embed slideshows and documents from Canva onto any page! This is great for creating live mood boards
